Enjoy the shortest night

In Roses we welcome summer with the revetlla de Sant Joan (Saint John’s Eve), a traditional festival that fills the town with light, colours and joy.

We celebrate the shortest night of the year with little sleep. A flame that comes from the Canigó mountain will light the bonfire all the towns in Catalonia. The burning is the beginning of the party. Everyone eats coca de Sant Joan, a typical dessert of this day that can be found in all bakeries, and drinks cava to celebrate it. When it is dark enough, the bay's sky lights up with a castle of fireworks. The beach is the best place to enjoy the show.

Come and join us for the party!
